I plan on hitting Bowman Bay this Saturday and/or Sunday.  Got a new collapsing crab trap that I though I'd try the last few days of the season.  Also going to try for some greenling.  Has anyone out there ever fished for flounder in this area?  Maybe will see some of you out there. May also try a New Year's Day trip for a jump start on the AOTY 2014.

Fish for greenies around the kelp beds/rocks on the S side of Rosario head.  Might get a tug from something bigger too.

Thanks Rory. I fished inside of coffin rocks a few weeks ago and got a couple of small greenling and a small ling.

High tide is 11:00. Thought I'd get there around 8. Set the pot, and try different areas on both sides of Rosario head (depending on wind). Pull the pot a bit after slack and fish the bay for a bit.  What time were planning on being out?

Beautiful day at Bowman. It was nice meeting Cohoman,   He was slaying the greenling. I got a couple. Cohoman, thanks for the tips on lure of choice. Had a couple of 5.5 inch dungys in the pot.  May have to hit the bay tomorrow.

No problem. It was good meeting you to, I went around the corner and ended up only hooking one greenling, and a suprise juvenile ling in the middle of the water column (unless he was following it while reeling it in.) He was about 20 inches. I knew i had something besides a greenling and rockfish when he grabbed ahold. I agree it was a nice day . The current was ripping to hard to continue, and the dahl porpoises where getting close to the boat. It was cool. They were feasting on something. Get those darts and rip lip tommorow.  Nice to have.dungy to eat, im jealous.
