Yeah--that little nose plate seems to work fairly well in preventing the bow from really digging in although it does  dig near the end there. Give me a surf kayak and I'm OK but I'm too cheap to risk damaging my AI by pitchpoling it in the surf. Cool camera angle from the top of the mast.

Thanks for sharing. Pretty cool. Doesn't hurt that the music is from my favorite musical.  :banjo:

I think you can get them somewhere in Oz--I THINK that guy is from Perth--check the Hobie AI forum there was a thread discussing it on there.

The nose plates are freakin cool. It would be interesting to play with them on a bigger day and see how they work. Wonder if you can adjust the pitch and how easy they are to get on and off the kayak. I get the feeling we're gone see these more of these cool mods more often.

Hobie needs to sign the guy up as test engineer/ field staff. That's a pretty tough test of durability he has there.
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

How the hell is that camera mounted to the mast?  That was a great angle and it swings around.

Nice stuff. That sideswipe really shows the stability of that boat. May need to see that musical again. Thanks for the reminder uplandsandpiper.
