Well today I bent over and dropped my shorts and bought a Columbia river endorsement.after suffering cardiac arrest paying for my combo hunting and fishing, harvest tag and endorsement I Headed for the mouth of the deschutes.I only got a bite from one and got a hook into it.I was with 6 other boats.only saw 2 others brought to the boat.1 was a keeper and a sub legal like mine.I was using herring in 14ft of water.sunny and calm.great day to be out.

That's awesome! After spending a couple years in your area I grew to love fishing up there. Actually i might have a spot i can show you which i have never tried in a kayak that constantly puts out oversized gators. I went out today in between bonneville and bridge of the gods. 15 boats one kayak (me) only saw one fish landed; a shaker, and not mine.

Good catch and we should get together and do some fishing. I'm still a newb to kayak angling and could use some expertise.

Where did you spend time?I'm used to being around central Oregon where I grew up with so much more lakes rivers creeks with in 30min drive from us.that sounds like a good hole you got.sounds like a plan to me.I have only been in a kayak for a year.I find it a good alternative to not owning a big boat and not having enough boat with my 12' aluminum with a electric motor.I'm up for teaming up to put the hurt on fish.

My wife and I attended cgcc. We stayed with my parents up above Lyle and commuted to the Dalles everyday. Well that's when I wasn't sturgeon fishing the Columbia or chasing summers. I just got my hobie outback and have been out twice now. Neither of which have been with another kayak.

I hear you.  Good thing is that I can usually take a random vacation day when I want.
