I use a homemade cart pictured below. The scupper posts can be made to fit in the scupper holes and not stick out the bottom when in stowed position. The tires keep the cart from sinking, but are not so buoyant that you can still put it on while the kayak is still afloat.

I love the wobbler cart! It rocks!!!!!

Wobbler's cart rocks.

I use the Wheeleez cart same as others here and it works great...except when a damn wheel pops while dragging the kayak.  I also don't really like having it strapped to the back of the kayak and I hate walking back to the truck to store the wheels.

I think I'm going to try a cart that straps on and can easily stored in the front hatch.

I have the big Wheelez cart and a Revo13.  I rarely use the straps supplied with the Wheelez as most of my launches are across sand or gravel or asphalt and I have found a couple of bungies works okay.  I set the kickstand on the cart. Set the cart a foot to one side of the yak bend down with both hands lift the stern of the yak onto the cart. Then I loop a bungie over the cart's front frame and a bungie over the cart's rear frame.  The rear bungie is pulled back over the rear lacing stays and the front bungie is pulled forward over the molded rear paddle stands and stuck in a zig-zag cleat for the anchor trolley.

I carry the Revo on a lumber rack on the truck and put the cart on the yak before I take it off the truck. You need to slide the boat back enough for the cart to clear the rack.

I carry the Wheelez straps when I am launching at unknown locations, but rarely need them. The bungies are faster and easier.

I accidentally ran over my cart that Wobbler made with my truck.  :(  I was able to salvage the big rubber tires and made them work with another scupper cart I had.

When I'm alone and not in the surf I'll just submerge the Wheelez Hobie scupper cart. With two people it's a simple lift and plug. As far as storage. Like Lee said, the post will protrude if you invert it, so depending on where I'm at, I'll either take it back to the truck, or put the uprights under the bungee with the wheels overhanging the back of the boat. Unless I'm using the down rigger this works perfectly.

The big Wheelez tires WILL fit in the front hatch of a Revo13, but the frame will not.  I stuff the frame under the lacing I added to the bow.

WoW . Lots of great ideas. Do all the Hobie scupper carts have the same size shaft that goes in the scupper hole? If yes does anyone know what it might be? I do lots of welding and just may make one my self. I have made carts for people in the area but have only made carts that strap onto the canoes or kayaks. All I drive is old Ford Broncos and have no way to lock them up. This is the reason I was thinking of getting or making one that I could take with me when I am on the water.

Thanks again !

Yes the Hobie carts are not kayak specific.  If you were to buy one, then you are at an advantage as a welder because the Hobie cart teensy-tiny spot welds will break at the most inopportune time.  Just make sure you have stainless wire ready so you can repair it.  The Hobie cart is 1 inch stainless tubing.  The much better Wobbler Cart is made of copper tubing.  Mine has a pretty green patina. ;)   It is also much more durable, doesn't stick through into the water when placed in the deck side of the scuppers while fishing, makes a nice back rest to help support the Hobie seat which always slips, and is much cheaper.  Did I mention the patina?

Thank You Craig.

As a guy who has a couple old Ford Broncos I do like Patina.

I started with a Scupper Pup cart and within the first 10 trips it had bent.  I was also worried about stressing the scuppers.

What is the purpose of the white PVC at the left of the photo, please?  Always looking for new ideas to outfit my Hobie Revo 13.  BTW, your posts are very informative.  Good descriptions and illustrations.  Thanks.

Thanks.

The white bar was my first attempt at a mounting system for a rod holder and fish finder.

The PVC proved to be too soft and was replaced by aluminum which served well for a couple of years.  Then YakAttack released their GearTrac products and I removed the bar and installed a couple GearTracs.
