Hi, I live in Northeast Oklahoma, but I have a house on the Oregon Coast.  I am new to kayak angling, got a Jackson Big Rig for my birthday (turned 50, got a kayak instead of a sports car  ;D).  I plan on taking my vacation this summer in Oregon and trying the yak out there.  Not sure how well the Big Rig will work in the salt but I will find out.  If not there are plenty of alternatives around there.  I have been watching a lot of YouTube and I am excited to try my luck there.

Welcome justoff101,

Let us know when your headed out here and I'm sure we can get you headed in the right direction.  Where on the coast is your house?  Just remember even though you'll be here in the summer the ocean is still real could and your going to want some submersion gear.

Thanks, I will hit you guys up when I come out.  The house is in Coos Bay and I will make sure I have a dry suit before hand.

I live in North Bend. Send me a message when you're in town. I'd be interested in seeing that kayak of yours in action.

Welcome to the group.  There are several of us in the Coos Bay area so chances are you'll hook-up with one or more.  Just let us know when you get here.
