I think that's why the Outback comes with two cup holders...downrigger in the left, Sammy in the right...perfect!

Is trolling the only effective method for kokanee on American lake? Has anyone tried jigging with buzz bombs?

It's the only way I've caught them. I've tried jigging small jigs tipper with shrimp, corn and gulp maggots in schools of marked fish but I've never had any luck...never tried buzz bombs.

They're kinda small for buzz bombs IMO

1" buzz bombs are popular on some lakes, but from the experience of some of my kok crazy coworkers that frequent AL, trolling is by far the most consistent. The schools can be pretty spread out, and they're constantly on the move so it would be tough to keep on top of them. Plus trolling with a down rigger really allows you to dial in their depth.
