Hmmm....

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200612541_200612541

A little short, but I assume the 8ft is the square part, could stick out 4ft on each side maybe  :-\

Or,

Here is a cheaper one from Harbor Freight.  It has the same capacity as the Northern Tools one (probably made in the same chinese factory and painted a different color), but you can find a 20% off coupon in any magazine and knock another chunk of cash off the total price (read: math skills suck and I have no calculator app). The HF one looks like it has a longer tongue and you can purchase locally so you get it sooner and can take it back if there is a problem.

Personally, I bought a Snowbear Utility trailer from Costco about 9 years ago ($469 then).  It converts to a flatbed for my jon boat (or long pieces of lumber). I can put the sides on it and haul mulch and I can put Yakima bars across the sides with a locking Thule box in the bed and haul my kayaks and other gear.  Or, if I am crabbing, I take the Thule box out and throw the pots in the bed.  The Yakima bars hold on the trailer fine, but because the tubes on the trailer are significantly larger than a roof rack, I strap the kayaks to the trailer frame through the cradles. I also have straps running from the middle of each bar to an anchor point on the trailer directly below.  I absolutely do not want stuff flying off.

Unfortunately, I only have this GoPro picture with a nice fat Tillamook Bay coho in it to show you the trailer with the pick-up tool box mounted on the tongue. ;)

Rear view.

It will easily haul three yaks set up like it is.  Two in the cradles and one laying across the bars.

This is also a great add-on to any trailer that doesn't have one. http://www.harborfreight.com/trailer-spare-tire-carrier-93341.html

Fyi- This trailer is still available on Craigslist.

Im calling dibs on the Revo, and picking it up tonight. I can check out the trailer and get pictures etc. if someone is interested. Looks like a nice heavy duty trailer with "real" wheels to work with.

I'd look at Lee's trailer before I plunked down $800 on that one...Lee's looks to be a pretty sweet setup.
Also, that Revo looks pretty short compared to the PAs...is it an 11' or 13'?

+1 on the snowbear utility trailers (especially with fat Tillamook coho on them), if you can find one.  I got impatient waiting for one to show up for sale anywhere, and ended up putting together one of the Harbor Freight utility trailers.  Pretty cheap to start out, but ended up paying quite a bit making it useful for hauling all of my gear and multiple kayaks.

Looks like somebody's going to need a mirage drive.  That's a great deal Eric.  Welcome to the dark side.

Snow bear trailers are easy builds, light, versatile, and can be picked up for relatively cheap. Here's mine. I can't claim credit for the racks, but there's a few people on here that should recognize the handiwork ;D  I know wobbler has built a few snow bear rigs too.

Thought I'd add a couple more shots from the build.

If you have a snow bear and are interested in a rack system like this one, shoot me a PM. I might know a guy;D

If I had room I would get a standard 4x8 utility trailer (pick your poison on brand) kit. From there you can use it as-is or modify it to your heart's (or pocketbook's) content.

I don't have room unfortunately (small garage and too much stuff) so I got a tiny Harbor Freight trailer kit and I'm customizing it for use as a kayak trailer that will fit in my garage.

I think it comes down to how much time/effort/money you want to spend on it, and what skills/tools you have. If it were me and space wasn't a concern the 4x8 cheap utility trailer with a few cheap/simple modifications would get the vote, because then you have a trailer that can do a lot of different things.

Just don't tell your friends or they'll as you to help them move. :)

Welp, the search has quickly come to a close -- went with Lee's Malone :)  Thanks to Mark for picking it up for me... though I kind of think it was an excuse for him to try out the AI...

  It's possible, very possible. ::)
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Don't do it Mark, unless you can afford to trade up to an Addy yourself.

I bought a used 10' snow bear but haven't started to convert it yet. I don't think the rack system shown in the photos above will work for me as I don't want to lift my AI that high. Still pondering...

What if you incorporated a roller on the rear bar?

Did yours not come with a front and tail gate with round bars for tops? That's how I hauled my fleet until the racks were installed.

I could put two boats over 30" wide side by side, so I imagine the AI would fit.

Also, if you remove the sides completely it should be pretty easy to fab some low profile racks to fit your needs.
