There are a few of us planning a halibut fishing weekend at Jordan River here on the Island on the May 10 weekend. Jordan River is on Juan de Fuca Strait just over an hour's drive west of Victoria on Highway 14. There is a good tide window on both the Saturday and Sunday as well as Thursday and Friday if anyone wants to come early. There is a campground right at the launch spot for those who wish to camp or there are motels/hotels in Sooke, about 35 minutes down the road. If anyone is interested, let me know--should be fun.

It's only a couple of weeks away to our Jordan River halibut weekend --there are 3 or 4 of us planning to go--if anyone else is interested, let us know. There are some teenager summer run chinook showing up in the strait now too, just to add to the fishing possibilities.

Big wave dave forecast for June 7th(Gordon's) is westerly 10 in the morning picking up to 20 in the PM. Tides look decent for the morning so I plan to be at Jordan River in the AM looking for halibut. Any yakkers want to join me, send me a pm with your phone number or call me on 68 when you get there. Here's a pic of Ryan D and I launching at the river a year ago.
