I'll be in between quarters for grad school.  There's a chance SWMBO might take off somewhere with the kids around that time frame.  If it all works out I'll make the trip, but odds are not great.

I'm planning on being there.  Anyone interested in a sweet ocean launch should check this place out.  Anyone interested in BIG lings should check out last years pics too.  Ling Ling Herro really outdid himself with that monster ling.  Who would have thought trolling for lingcod would work?

This is a great place with a bunch of really nice people.  Should be a good time...

I won't be able to make it this year.  I will be chasing stripers on Cape Cod that weekend.
We've got stripers too.  Starting to fish for them now in the lower bay and sloughs when the wind not blowing and kicking up 4-5ft. wind swells

Both Sunset bay state park and Sunset bay RV resort/campground are within minutes of the launch.

That is also a very busy time of the year for that area. Getting reservations in ahead time is a huge plus.

I just checked with the state parks. There is a group camp at the end of Cape Arago HWY, about 3 miles south of Sunset Bay that is available.

it will accomadate 25 people and 6 vehicles, it has no potable water, no showers but can use the showers at Sunset Bay State Park. It has 4 picnic tables, a fire ring and chemical toilets. It is 71 dollars a night. Tight access road would be difficult for RV's and trailers, it is better for tent camping.

you can't reserve this on reserve america, need to call 1-800-452-5687, it is the Cape Arago group site

Lee, hope you have been practicing backing your new trailer into tight 90 degree spots.
Sunset Bay SP is one of Oregon's older parks originally laid out for tents and not really travel trailers.
It can be a real challenge backing a trailer into a site like that.

Here is what you are looking forward to squeezing into.
