Is this area fishable with a WA state fishing license?

Most of the Columbia is fishable with either an Oregon or Washington License.

Additionally I believe you can launch from Oregon and still fish with a Washington license if you're in the shared water (i.e. mainstem), and important point for this competition, since the 3 possible launches are all in Oregon.

I'm going to try waiting for my wife's work schedule to see if I can get away.
Thanks still working on the blog.
Just tell your wife you're entering the tournament to win her the new kayak  ;D Let me know how that goes...

So what is the camping situation for this event?  I was looking at a map and noticed "The Hook".  Who owns this property?  Looks like a good place to camp/launch if we had permission.

Google street view shows a sign posted but I can't read it.  Can a local check this out for us?

I looked around a little Saturday and I didn't see anything near the marina that was open for overnight camping. Everything down there is either a park or controlled by the port, and everything I saw said no overnight parking. I may have missed something, though, I'm sure the locals will know.

Langston,

Please let John know I'm not shirking my duties but need to be in CA during this event. Hope to make the next one.

I can only hope. Didn't help me out to much at the ORC last year but I will have to read up on how to get down on bass. I have a shit ton of bass flies that were gifted to me so I may be mostly working the fly rod.

I like streamers in early summer.the Columbia river flows can hinder you some but a streamer like a cone head or clouser minnow with heavy eyes on sink tip and a split shot can get down easy.or fish the seams and current breaks.

I've updated the front page with the anglers that have registered so far.

10 is a good start...

I've gotten a couple reports that the bite is starting to turn on.
