Art has to come all that way to show us how it's done. I'm going to play close attention to how he is fishing.

Have watched this grow from an informal, camp in the front yard get together, to a full blown and growing each year kayak fishing tournament gaining major notoriety.... Roy, you've been busy and it shows... I think this is the best sponsorship listing ever.

May the seas be calm and the fish willing....

Thanks Rich, It's been a fun experience from the first year with 7 friends trying to take some cash and bragging rights from their friends to this year which i think could reach 40-45 people by the time of the Tourney. I appreciate the continued support of the sponsors that were there at the beginning and all the new sponsors i am getting all the time.

A note on the ATV stuff:  If you can afford to rent one for an hour or two, do it and take the family.  A 4 seater razor is a LOT of fun in the dunes!

That makes my 280 miles seem pretty insignificant. Gonna make this happen.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

You really want me to show up to this don't you.

10hrs of drive time (each way) really sucks though!!!

I do...That is quite a drive Justin but hope you can make it.

It wouldn't be so bad if I was car pooling.  That far by yourself really sucks!!!  453 miles and 9hrs by this estimate.

Justin, I moved to Coos Bay from Baker...I've made that drive too.
The first time I drove that was for a job interview...drove up I-84 way...went back through John Day...straight (only took 23 1/2 hours...minus 2 hours in Coos Bay for the interview)
Forget what Mapquest says...stick to the freeway...I-84 to I-5...south to Eugene...west to florence...then take a left and follow the beach to Coos Bay
Looking at mileage, it's a touch longer...
However, you can travel at freeway speeds, not back highway speeds through narrow winding canyon roads...
Both suck, but the  I-84 to I-5 actually was a little faster (although a little longer), and it's a little easier going
Knowing what I know now, that's how I would roll...
Bring me a Double Whampus burger (with bacon) from the In-n-Out... ;D
I know what I am...My wife tells me all the time!!
