Does anyone here hit Silver Creek Reservoir for some trout fishing? I know ODFW has been stocking it recently and I'm wondering if it's worth checking out. I've don't some bank fishing around the parking area and dock but it seems that there's a lot more lake out there that one could get to with a kayak. Or does it just get overcrowded with locals?

It's okay. It will get crowded. I would drive up to Detroit lake over fishing Silverton reservoir.

I love that lake.  I haven't fished it in a while, but it seems like most every time I went there I could catch fish.  I could usually find fish by trolling rooster tails along the opposite side of the lake from where the boat launch is (the side that the bankies can't get to), around the corner and up the creek arm.
