Or, why not just get one with 2 bedrooms and a bar, and you can fish out your sliding glass door?

On sale now on Craig's List in Salem for $1000.

He's actually been trying to sell that for a few months.  I think his first post was like $30,000 for a house boat.  Seems that he had this bright idea of turning that small mobile into a houseboat, launched it on a lake, and then found out that he couldn't park it at a marina, and the lake didn't allow floating homes.  He's slowly lowered the price.  I'm guessing he's taking a HUGE loss just to get rid of the thing.  It looks bad enough that he probably couldn't give it away. $1000 probably covers the cost of the motor on it.

Wait, it is stuck on a lake it's not allowed to be on?  I guess I'll just have to keep that $1000 that's burning a hole in my pocket.

I believe it can be moved if you want. :)  I think it is currently out of the water.  As seen in this picture:

That picture just looks like a trailer.  Where are all the floating bits?

I dunno.  Give the guy a call.  I'm sure they are available.  He posted it the first few times as a houseboat.  I think he's just posting it now as a 'shack' for whatever as he wants to get rid of it.  The big thing is, I don't think it has a bathroom.  If it did, he'd be wise to find an empty spot at a floating home place in Portland and park it there, build a deck and boat dock onto it, and sell it for $50k.

I can just see it now... "Hey honey look what I just bought on Craigslist."  followed by me forced to live in it by myself after my wife kicks me out.
