Let's make it happen $15 entry fee :1st prize single biggest salmon :2nd prize single biggest rock fish : 3rd prize single biggest crab .
Let me know if that sounds interesting enough for some fun bay fishing ODFW rules apply catch and release ok ,with AOTY rules for the photo and a marker given at cast off . Check in at 6:30 weigh in at 2:30

Sound good?  ???

Can flex the fish and rules before hand as this is my first event attempt
And I'm trying to get some prize donations as well.

I think that is a good start but, even though i am noit familiar with T Bay, it might be too early for fall Salmon. I like the crab idea though, gives people options. Good job on keeping it on the cheap side, if it grows and you get more sponsors you can charge more.

Not sure if i can make it up there to attend but I will donate a couple CBY fish bonkers for prizes
See ya on the water..

That's correct and we do get some good size trout around the streams that I for one would take that into consideration if the salmon don't cooperate as fish tend to not cooperate at least with me! :-\

Given that salmon are a low percentage fish (though generally much larger than any of the groundfish), it might make more sense to just leave 1st and 2nd open to any fish caught in the bay/bubble and have a separate prize for biggest crab.

Just my $0.02   ;D

I can't commit that weekend but we'll see how things go.

Suggestion: When I saw "AOTD" in the title I assumed that it would be a multi-species bag for the prizes (the way the AOTY and Coos Bay AOTD tourneys work). Might consider calling it something else. You can still use the rules for CnR pictures and all that (which are solid - good choice).

How about "The Tillamook Tacklebuster"?

???that's due to the limit of different spicies in the bay and the rack that I for one wouldn't attempt to exit the jaws of this bay in a yak. But I'm still open for suggestions were not set in stone.

If I can get some commitment and enough interest that is the style of tourney I was hoping for , but someone suggested single biggest salmon due to limited spicies , but I'm ok with even most total length of all fish for the day , open for more input and fishing friends , even if you can't commit that day I'm always here and ready to fish safe conditions

My point was just that for me it was confusing to have it labeled "Angler of the..." without it using the same scoring system. It's not about the decisions - I think the way you're proposing running it sound great and make sense for the bay.

There is a lot of planning and prep putting together a full on tourney, and I applaud all those that have taken on the task.
With such short planning time, maybe keep it simple the first round and have a get together to see if peeps show up, and see what is caught.  Throw in a gentleman's bet "buy in" for whatever terms you like, and see what happens.  If all hell breaks loose and you have an off the wall day catching various species, take note for next year. If it was really dry in the fishing department, tweak the date for the next one, change things up and see what happens.
