Anyone know anything about fixing/patching this. Is there a warranty? Its right in the mirage well.
Probably won't be able to afford another Hobie for another 2-3 years.

Google plastic welding.

That's a tough spot to reach, but could be welded. I'd be willing to try my hand at it. Can't promise a miracle or that it'll be pretty, but it won't be any worse

If all else fails, get some long implements and do a variation of this. It works wonders...

You could weld it, but what is really needed is some kind of reinforcement plate.  I'm thinking a good, stout piece of aluminum or PVC sheet bolted and glued around the crack somehow.  This will keep it from leaking, but more importantly, it will also support the area around the crack to keep the material from flexing and tearing the crack open again.  Certainly don't give up on it.  It can be fixed one way or another.

Do a search for G Flex epoxy on here you'll come up with a number off post's on repairs using it.  It works well I would use the G Flex to repair the crack and then use it to weld some material in the inside to stabilize the crack.  Before doing check with Hobie and or a Hobie dealer to see if it's covered under warranty even if it's over a year old.

Thank you everyone for all of the tips. Man yesterday when I first spotted the whole I pretty much thought I was super screwed. I saw all my fishing fun flash before my eyes. Now I am pretty confident that I can fix it. I plan on using the G-Flex. I will do a video for my blog.

Thanks again everyone.

I'd still see what Hobie can/will do for you before breaking out the epoxy.  A new hull, if it's affordable is probably your best solution.

Regardless of your repair method, still drill the stop holes at either end of the crack, as described in the duct-tape method link.

Yeah I was going to follow the prep for the duct tape method and then do the prep for epoxy.

It looks like the edge of the drive perfectly fits in there. My bet would be it was a little abused there before I got it and then I probably just pulled up on the drive a little forcefully at the end of the day and split it. Im positive it has had a little fracture that I didn't notice.

I've done a lot of G Flex repairing. I should have some thoughts posted in this site's history. If not, PM me; there are some tricks and tips to it. Mainly...oxidize with flame! Do not skip this!
