Somewhat new to the Tillamook area and interested in learning everything there is to learn about bottom fishing. I am interested in eventually getting a tandem kayak and cruising around the bays here in Tillamook county. I came across this website while shopping for kayaks.

Here are the tides for tomorrow at Barview:

F   20      Low   1:36 AM     1.2   5:27 AM    Rise  1:26 AM      49
    20     High   7:07 AM     5.4   9:08 PM     Set  2:34 PM
    20      Low   1:18 PM     0.9
    20     High   7:46 PM     7.5

I'm thinking launching any time after 9am tide will be going out, and then heading back anytime after 3pm tide should be turning around.  Should be a nice long slack tide tomorrow.

My only concern is rain.  Not sure how the wind is shaping up in the afternoon.

Any thoughts?

My tide book says ad 20 min for Garibaldi  so low tide at 1:30is I don't think we want to launch before 11:00 the tide was ripping out pretty hard for the tourney we had. I wouldn't want to fight outgoing tide for that long. I will post this afternoons  wind later but tomorrow is only saying 9 mph on the weather channel.

Here's a good website if you don't want to mess around with time corrections for different locations.

I keep a paper copy close by highlighted on go days, it's funny that web sight shows a 20 min. difference from bar view to garibaldi, I didn't think it took that long for the exchange that close together. Wind is constant right now but not heavy.

Thanks Rawk for the link, and thanks Shannon for the real-time view update.  I don't want to fight the outgoing tide too long either, but I also don't want to be out on the water too long after noon, if the wind picks up.

Next week, I want to hit Depoe Bay or PC, depending on weather and conditions.

There are also many handy phone apps for tides. I use a free one called Tides Near Me.  Super handy and I use it all the time.
