Warmwater fish in Swan Island Basin?

I was thinking of spending a half-day jigging or using nightcrawlers to try and find a few new species for my big fishing year. When I was sturgeon fishing in Swan Island basin I was marking large numbers smaller fish in the basin. Anyone ever fished this area for species other than sturgeon? I was hoping I could find white crappie, smallmouth bass, and maybe a catfish/bullhead.

Swan Island Basin is a great place to target warm water species.  All that you listed and then some are in there.  Just don't eat 'em! 

I've always wanted to eat glow-in-the-dark sashimi!
