Carp on the BIG C

I'd like to try and sight fish for big carp using my stand n fish yak and a fly rod, I've found some on the Willamette but am clueless about the Columbia. Looking for clear slower running water. Anyone have some spots to suggest?

Any water off the main current above Bonneville or the Dalles dam.

All over.most of the state parks.there are many ramps.look at mayer state park between hood river and the Dalles.mostly a cove with some good muddy flats on the north side.mouth of the deschutes is good also.trying to go bow fish after work on sat.

thanks for the info, wondering what the deal is with shooting carp? they really aren't good for much except the fight, why kill them? Don't they have target ranges with moving targets or something?

Trapping season bait and bow season practice,also the challenge for me.

I used to travel 84 a lot back and forth from school and remember that a lot of the small waters inside the RR tracks had tons of carp. You could literally see them going 65-75 there were so many. Mostly remember between Biggs and Hood River
