Nice write-up Rudy!  You really are the face of kayak fishing in Alaska.

I just saw this today in the break room. Nice write-up!

Favorite quote: "This is the only athletic thing I do"...haha.

(and Spot, if it's true that he's the face of kayak fishing in AK (and I agree, he is)...can NWKA pony up some dough for cosmetic surgery?)

...Sorry Rudy! just joking around. It's good to see something at the top of the sports page today other than "Where LeBron *might* go play basketball next year...."

Nice.   After seeing Rudy's posts for the last year or two, a 24 or 28 foot PB just won't cut it for a trip to AK anymore....

Lol. Thanks all!  In some ways I feel guilty because so many others fish every bit as much as I do. They also have gopros and such. I just happen to like editing short video recordings and logging my fishing for future reference.  But I figure if I can get more folks involved, just like they didn't close the inside of a mile to halibut and I truly believe input from people like rimfirematt influenced that decision, we may get better access and rules that at least consider is kayakers.

Stuck in Seattle!!! 80 deg, sunny, and unbearably hot for this boy!  I wanna go home!!!!!  Lol.

Ha, you didn't mention the red tide and lack of salmon in Sunny Seattle. I'm heading to SE AK in 2 weeks, when I should be heading there now.

Rudy & all,

Maybe we should have an ongoing/open thread on this board for "activism" or vetting/discussing of issues which are (or may be) relevant to us and other sports fishers in AK. Issues could grow into their own threads when/if necessary.

It would be a good thing to identify issues and strategies (when necessary) that may be worth pursuing with fish and game and others.

just a thought...
