It's ok to laugh as long as you don't point and laugh. How was the upper body workout?

I don't get it, I don't have a problem paddling the outback as long as the rudder is working.

The current can rip through Westport and I'm not interested in being at its mercy.

Sorry to hear about your , uh, forgetfulness. That sucks to drive out there only to realize you forgot something that you really do need.
got your PM about fishing out there today around 10 this morning. It takes me about an hour to get to Half Moon Bay from Raymond. Next time you head out to Westport give me a few hours warning and I can probably meet you out there. With an extra mirage drive if you forget again...
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

I carry a spare paddle in my hull , but a spare mirage drive probably ain't going to fit inside or be cheap enough to keep a spare around.

A couple of years ago I arrived at a lake to go spearfishing out of my 13' Trident, and discovered I had forgotten to bring my paddle.  I was determined to have some fun, so I held my flippers in my hands and paddled out to the weed bed, set up a diver down buoy at each end of the weed bed, anchored the Trident in the middle of the weed bed, and went spearfishing.  But using the flippers in this manner was so slow and inefficient that when I was through spearfishing I tied my float line to the front of the kayak and towed it back to shore.

Somebody could start a new thread:  "Things I Forgot To Bring When I Went Kayak Fishing."  I'm sure there would be a lot of contributors.  Me, for one.  With all the stuff you need for a day of fishing, it's sure easy to forget something.  In an effort to reduce the chances of this kind of thing happening in the future, I prepared a list of kayak fishing equipment and a list of spearfishing equipment, which have reduced (but not completely eliminated) the number of times that I find myself standing at a launch site saying "How the heck did I manage to forget to bring that?"

Been there.....Done that.  It's not a fun paddle for sure, but that's not why I bought my Outback.  Good thing I was only trout fishing on a small lake  :D
