I forgot the Mirage Drive once.  Two weeks later forgot the Vantage Seat.  Now I have a checklist.

I don't feel so bad about forgetting the mirage drive at home now.. I have forgotten my net a couple of times, I easily compensate for this by not catching anything......

Went lake Wenatchee  last night and remembered everything               - it's 2.5. Hours from my house. Set up camp and went for a trial run.  Got on the water by five AM. Off at 9:30. One small sockeye for my efforts.  Once working out the bugs my brand new and first ever downrigger (attached to a milk crate) worked well.  Loaded the boat quickly as trailers were lined up at the ramp and went back to break camp (trust me, this story relates to the topic). Headed home, feeling good about the outing.  About an hour from the lake I was reflecting on how to position the downrigger for better access... When bam, it hit me, I left the milk crate and down rigger on the beach. With a quick u turn and phone call home, I headed back to the lake, hoping that someone turned it in to the ranger.  Got to the launch at 11: 00 and the rigger and crate were right where I left it. Guess it was my lucky day.
