I would like to know if there is a how chapter in or around corvallis. As a  Marine Corp veteran I would like to be a part of this fine organization. I appreciate everything you do for veterans.

If you decide to start a Corvallis chapter I would love to help out.  I'm in south Salem and have two kayaks to share.  Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Here's the link to start the conversation with the Heroes On the Water national office if anybody thinks HOW in their area would fly.

I'm happy to answer any questions as well.

Just read Alyssa's testimonial about the impact HOW kayaking had on her life.  I was curious if a HOW chapter near Corvallis has made any progress?  I would like to participate/volunteer/contribute, but most of the HOW events are too far.

Was wondering if there was any new ground made on the HOW corvallis chapter? I'd like to get involved in some capacity with this organization and help out in anyway possible. I've got a couple of kayaks and looking to grab a few more. Thanks for any info

Well hopefully enough people can get together to start up some new chapters here in the NW. They have a new one going in Central California.

If you have a population of Veterans and first responders that want to go kayak fishing and the volunteers to see to it that everybody stays safe and has a good time then anyplace is a good place for HOW. It sure helps a lot to have nice kayak shops in your area like Next Adventure and Kayak Shed that believe in Heroes On the Water.

Where I'm located would be a PERFECT spot for a quality kayak shop with the bay right here the Nehalem up the street and PC not far away. Now just convince one of them to open shop here, bet you would see more Cowboys in kayaks (Yaktastic never was normal). With the growth of the kayak fishing they would make money here even if it was just a satellite store few boats more gear.
