Ok,  Not my typical video.  It's more photos than video.  I think I have the pics and video in the right order.  In addition, I didn't take any of these photos. I made the video for my guests.  But for this forum, the point is to just show those who haven't done this float, what the water looks like.  A few fish, eagles, and a black bear!

I used my mirage drive 80% of the time.  The Mirage drive going to be KILLER in the Kenai for silver season.  I can''t wait to try it out some more!!!

So here's a few hours of travel time condensed into a quick ten minute trip!!!  Missed the landing on video but I think the last shots are within a few hundred yards!

Thanks for sharing the vid/pics.  Looks like a serene and successful trip.  What type of cam were you using?
Water everywhere, but not a drop to drink.

I think it was an olympus point and shoot waterproof camera.

It's amazing how many of the fish on the Kenai have scarred mouths.  Whoever doesn't feel C&R doesn't work, hasn't spent anytime on the Kenai.  The fish should be smiling, he knows he gets to go back home after the pictures!!!

Excellent video Rudy - I'm putting that float on the to-do list.
Good things come to those that wade.

Bzuefishx--me too. After August, I'd like to start trying the boat on the Kenai. If you plan to head there in Sept or Oct, I'd join in if at all possible.

I personally like the upper river float better, but the middle river is an awesome float as well.  Lower Skilak Lake launch.  One mile paddle to the river.  Take out at Bing's.  I bet it is REALLY good for sockeyes right now and the following trout!
