I spotted a number of boats anchored up in the Willy at Clackamette Park, then checked over at Ifish. It seems there are still Shad to be caught! Anybody up for some dangerous anchoring to catch inedible fish?

What day were you thinking?  I'm actually leaning towards a trip to Astoria for sturgeon this weekend, but I might be convinced otherwise.

Hmmmm, tasty dinosaurs an hour and a half away or frisky, inedible (but excellent dinosaur/crawfish/crab bait) in town.

Decisions, decisions,,,,, :idea1:

How about both! Shad turn on in the evening after work and then take them out for a stroll on the weekend in Astoria?

Let me know what day you guys are thinking.  I'd love to catch some shad.  Haven't used my anchor yet, I think it would be good to do with others around for safety reasons.  Caught a bunch of shad off the dock at Clackamette park a couple years ago. was a blast!  Just let me know when and I'll see if I can arrange borrowing the gf's Forester (with the car rack).

I'd be interested in one evening this week (gotta get some anchor chain to beef up my anchor).  Say when!

I got hog tied last week. But I'm still up for a trip if anyone else is. The Shad may be done, but that's a productive smallie area and there is always a chance (how ever slight) of Steelhead.
