I'm back anyone up for PC this holiday weekend?

I'm thinking about PC this weekend as well.  If I make it I will be salmon fishing.  Ocean salmon opens again Saturday.

I'm heading to PC tomorrow, Thursday for Rockfish.  However, if something comes up, I will get there Saturday.

I'm working nights so won't be able to head down to the property (which is only 11 miles from PC) on the Little Nestucca river until Sat. morning.  Want to hit the water on Sun. for some salmon/crab/rockfish and hopefully head back to the campsite for some fresh bounty around the campfire.  Would also like to try it again on Mon. for some goodies to take home.  If anyone is interested in headed out let me know, or if you just want to stop by for a few cold ones around the campfire.....

I'm camping at Nehalem and want to try PC/Saltwater for my first time. I have some time in sea kayaks but I'm new to kayak fishing. Ideally I'd like to tag along with someone with experience for the first time out there. I'm pretty solid in my Kayak and have a good kokatat dry suit and all the recommended safety gear so, given reasonable conditions, I should'nt be a safety concern. Let me know if you're up for a newbie.

I'm headed there as well, tomorrow.

Hate to chime in, but keep an eye on that forecast if you're heading out Saturday or Sunday. Right now it's looking "not fun" for re-entry by late on Saturday, and Sunday looks like a no-go to me. Everyone has different abilities and goals. Just be safe out there.

I now have a conflict tomorrow.  I will be stuck in a meeting first thing that will keep me from getting in early.  I may have to move my fishing day to Friday.

I can go Saturday as long as the ocean conditions are acceptable.  What are you fishing for?  How are most people rigging for trolling for salmon?

I think I'm in for Saturday.  I will be fishing for salmon, using a deep six diver, kone zone flasher and a hering with a sure spin helmet.   

It seems like a lot of people prefer to troll herring.  I have not trolled much for salmon out of a kayak and would like to keep it simple and use lures and bloody tuna scent.  Any thoughts on some lures and or flashers that might produce?  I have lots of kwikfish, alvins and spoons, but don't know if they will work out of Pacific City this time of year.  Thoughts anyone?  Flasher or no flasher?  Diver or weight?

IE go early ,limit early ,and don't roll on your landing 

I might get an early shift on Friday night, if that happens I will be able to hit it on Sat.  will post when I find out.  Will definitely keep an eye on the weather......I will confirm on Fri. before noon.
