as a back-up plan if the weather/wind/swell/surf goes south at PC we could always run down to Depoe Bay.....

I may be looking to get out there on Saturday, depending on how the forecast plays out and whether others will be there as well.  If not, then another pass on Nehalem Bay may be in order - or trolling the Columbia near Knappton...

Come on out Sam...looking at Sunday for me.

Bet you already figured that out.

on a side note our campsite/property on the little nestucca although only 11 miles from pc is currently a 40 minute trip via Hebo due to bridge construction just downstream from our place....offer still stands for some campfire comraderie and or a spot to camp for those interested

What time are people launching Saturday?  I may not be able to get there before 8 AM due to the drive.

I'm coming down Saturday too, launching at first light.  I was going to go tomorrow, but don't really want to be out there by myself, so Saturday it is.

What time is everyone planning on launching?  I will be fishing for Rockfish, but will have some salmon gear along just in case, as I know what will happen if I don't bring it.

 Hey Jim.
Huli's are nothing to fear and in fact can be sorta fun. Just put all your tackle away 1st at least the stuff you want to keep. Try a few different angles coming in and out. See what your capable of then push it some to learn. Do this stuff long enough and you will get dumped.
Another idea is to search for threads by micahgee for surf practice. He is really good at it.

 Bust that cherry  :embarassed:

As of now you can keep two chinook per day.  Coho's are closed til the 30th of August, then it's two salmon per day.

Do cohos need to be fin clipped on and after the 30th of august to keep them?  Sorry for my ignorance.

Very nice.  Thanks.  Looks like 1.5 at 15....would be sweet if it stays that way.

All right Sir. Word on the street is Saturday at PC. The whole gang will be there. I was going to fish your puffin colored lure at ORC because I have been tired of carrying it around, but I never tied it on. I will try and remember to bring it for you. Glad to hear from you again, I've been wondering where you've been.
