Cabbyzilla from PC

Had a great time fishing with uplandsandpiper, threecreeks and ALL the other guys and gals out there today ( sorry I'm terrible with names). Longest day I have done in the ocean so far (no relief zipper) I heeded in around two I believe and only got one fish, had a few takers got loose but after netting this porker I was happy. He was lurking on the edge of the shelf on the west reef and actualy hooked himself in the side so it wasn't a big fight like cabby's can do but he made it in the net and the boat. I took the liberty to open up his belly to see what he was digesting and holly crab that's a mouth full. 17 lbs on the scale at home.

The best part is that it took him 5 minutes to figure out he had hooked a fish and was not snagged.

No salmon yet hooked one but he broke 80lbs braid, must have had a bad spot from rock fishing with it. It will happen sooner or later... Maybe......I hope........ Crap now I'm wondering, thanks a lot Mark !

Nice Cabbie Shannon! Our tag team beat down was pretty funny. I'm going medieval on his ass for Shannon, Shannon is yelling "Hit it again!" "Hit it again!" Hilarious!

And I even got it on the go-pro two paddle outs to clear the snag.

Great fish MJ! Fun seeing y'all on the water. Christine and I struck out for salmon and subsequently for halibut, but we had fun trying. Picked up a chunky ling on my halibut rig and then we picked up some rockfish back closer to the rock. A great day with the whales and porpoises, and we ended up with 5 species (just none of the targets).

What a hawg!  With the crab in the belly, I'd call that a combo meal!

Great catch Shannon!  Sounds like that one was a blast!

Nice Shannon!  I would be happy too!  I think sometimes it's better to catch one or two big ones in a day, rather than a bunch of small ones......They are all fun to catch though!
