The depression is between the pairs of scupper holes.  The only thing I can think of that might cause it is the presence of the scupper tubes between the upper deck and bottom, they causing a hard spot on the bottom.

I don't think it is very detrimental to the performance. I suspect that if you look at yours, you will see the same thing, because I believe it is a consequence of the boat construction?  The easy guess is that it comes from the reaction of the trailer support, as the boat is transported right side up.  But, the aft trailer support is well back of the depression, and there is no depression where the front trailer support makes contact, so nothing points to the contact with the trailer as being the cause.

Perhaps letting it sit in the Florida sun all afternoon will relax it.  It has cooled off about 15 degrees, today, to 75° F.

Anyway, if you feel like taking a look at the bottom of your Revo, I'd like to hear what you see.

I have no depressions on either of my revos and I always transport and store upside down.   Heat,  racks,  and right side up,  is what's doing that.   It's not caused by the constriction.   SOT kayaks should airways be stored and transported upside down.

Yeah if you leave it in the sun for a day it should pop back out. I had something similar happen to mine.

My boat only gets depressed if I don't take it out on the water frequently.
I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

I suppose that is fair.  I apologize for that.

If boats can be depressed I'm really worried about Noah's Revo!

As you said, the bottom shape is restored, except for a small region on the port side: https://plus.google.com/photos/+JerryLester/albums/6067183222926972545

Thanks for the response.

I had the same thing happen while storing my Revo 11 on a firm styrofoam block.  To restore the shape, I warmed it up in the sun, but also wedged a few boards wrapped in a soft towel inside the hull to push it out.  Now I store it well supported along the lines of the hull so weight is distributed.

I thought about squirting some canned Styrofoam in the region aft of the forward scuppers?  But, I've come to the conclusion that the hull deformation is not really important to the performance, so why bother.  I still think it is a characteristic of the Revo, and that few owners seem to be aware/concerned.

Just don't turn your Revo upside down, and you won't see it.

Thanks for your germane response to my post.

Are you sure that that isn't the way that Hobie manufactured it?   >:D

We'd better check with the factory on this one.

No, I'm not. I think it is a characteristic of the boat.  That's why I'm ready to accept that it is.  It's a good performing kayak, and I enjoy the hands-free freedom and stability.  I can spend 5 hours in it catching little or nothing and enjoy my outing.  But, I do have a "good day" from time to time.  Here's a collection of my best from 2013:   And, here's my latest: , one of those, "I'm glad I didn't get skunked" days.
