I hate to part with this, but no matter how long I hang on to it the handle will not move from the right side to the left.

What makes it so hard to sell this is that I won it, and it is like the only thing I have won since I was 13.  But I did not think to open the box because, well this is the NW and everyone reels lefty right?  I was also drunk on questionable rum so I really wasn't thinking about it.

So my loss is your gain.  This is a really nice reel.  I mean a really really nice reel!  Really!

First $150 takes it home.

I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

I'm interested as I have a custom rod coming that this might be perfect for. Do you have pics, or links to one on-line for specs? I typed that model number into both Bass Pro and Cabela's and couldn't get an exact match.

Here are the specs from the Daiwa site:

These reels are pretty damn awesome.  I use the 20 size for salmon fishing and I LOVE it.  I am pretty biased though.  That is an amazing price!

Have you tried taking it to a large retail sporting goods store to trade it for a lefty? Er... I mean... Don't raise the price and sell it to me...

Because daiwa in their infinite wisdom does not make one that reels in on the proper side.   I'm gonna get a sealine

To be fair, Daiwa is not the only reel manufacturer that lacks a left-hand retrieve line counter reel at that price point.  The Shimano Tekota reels also do not come in lefty models.  Northwest salmon fishing is actually an oddball market that has a relatively high number of users that prefer these reels, even though they (the users) aren't left handed.  They just came out with the left-hand retrieve Sealine reels, as you mentioned.  Those are solid reels for salmon fishing.

Hmm, I knew about the Tekota, but I would have thought Daiwa would have the Saltist in a lefty. They seem to have more left hand retrieve options than many of the other manufacturers.  (BTW Daiwa Luna lefty = rock solid billet construction, super smooth, amazing cast control, but no counter.)

I appreciate the offer,  but I need a bigger safe before I can acquire any more toys.  I am looking for strictly cash to buy a replacement LH line counter.

Where are you located?  I do need help with a RRA 2 stage trigger.

I can't believe no one picked this up yet!  Don't you guys realize that this reel will make your fish taste better?  I give it a 3 month return on investment!  It's a no brainier!

Sinker: I don't need another reel but you & I would be talkin business if this was a left handed retrieve because it's such a good deal for a quality product. Good luck!
