Grew up in WI where i fished for walleye, bass, and panfish. After many years in Denver raising small children into bigger ones, then a move to Portland, i want to start fishing again - occasionally.

Bought some cheap SOT kayaks last year for me and my two sons in hopes of trying fishing out here. We've been on the Tualatin, Willamette, once in the ocean (near Beverly Beach), once on the Clackamas, and just the week before last, the Wilson.

Lots of great experience on this board. Looking forward to more adventures!

Mike

Nice to hear that another kayak fisherman has moved into town. Lots of places to go and fish to catch. Where to go depends on what you are interested in catching?

Next Adventure has announced several clinics that they are putting on every Thursday. Great place to go and meet like minded fishing fanatics.

See you there.

Welcome!!!

I Started my kayak fishing adventures out of a $100 K-mart special I borrowed from a buddy.  I stepped "up" to a 9ft Mini-X a year later.  Didn't know better I guess.  BUT I caught everything I catch curently on my Hobie Outback.  Sure I love my Outback, but even if I hadn't stepped up, I'd still be having a blast and catching fish!

The whole key to success is getting out on the water consistently AND safely!

Welcome to the addiction...and the cure.....
