So I haven't posted anything for a while, but have started making preparations for this season's monthly kayak bass derbies here in southern ID.
This year we will try to hold a few more events to offer more chances for everyone to attend and will also be spreading out to different areas as well.
All of the events will be held in the Snake river, spanning from C.J. strike (mt.home) all the way to Massacre rocks (American falls) and everything between. Entry fees will be relatively cheap for those beginners to the sport and there will also be a "higher stakes" class for those who are experienced in kayak competition. All events will have a  potluck BBQ following check-in, while everything is being tallied up.
I am almost finished with schedules and rules, also working on a way for people to enter online as well. I will post a schedule and all possible ways of contact for anyone who is interested.

Bring it on Smilinkayaker.. I'm ready for a road trip.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

We should talk. I am in the process of getting a hobie world's qualifier bass tournament series here in Idaho and the west coast. The east coast version has a nationa championship that currently pays out 12 grand to the winner. It is a bass only tournament series.
