I may be the cheapest kayak fishermen on this site. I have fished out of PC probably 5 times and absolutely loved it each time. I am quite possibly the single worst steelhead fisherman on this planet My biggest fears in life are sharks and cold water. I am 6'9" and hardly fit most kayaks. Boom. Now can I see more topics? Great introduction, just learning myself, I take exception to you claiming "worst steelhead fisherman", we may need to go steelheading together just to decide who is the winner of that is.
Enjoy the site, great group of folks that will take the time to answer any and all questions, and maybe even debate the answer.

I know several guys who are the 6'6" range and they have no problem on most Ocean Kayaks and Hobies.
Trust me you are not the cheapest guy on the site!

The foot braces in the Ocean Kayak Trident kayaks don't go all of the way to the end of the foot wells.  There's several inches of space in front of the foot braces.  If you feel cramped in a Trident with the foot braces all of the way forward, consider taking out the foot braces and bracing your feet against the ends of the foot wells.

I'm 6 feet tall, and pedal my 13' Hobie Revolution with the pedals in the full forward position.  If you're 6'9" tall, you better demo the various Hobie kayaks before you buy one.  If your knees hit your chest on the backstroke even with the pedals all the way forward, and you can't straighten your knees most of the way on the forward stroke, a Mirage Drive kayak may not work for you.

for a guy like me, 6'9" is a number thats hard to imagine.  :)    my legs would fit in the tankwell. :D

Hey buddy! Glad to see you are on the board finally! I know what you should do for a kayak!  Find an old OK tandem and you can use the foot wells for the front passenger (sans passenger:)-

I do not mean to offend any tallish people out there,
Welcome to the site,
