Not sure if there from the forum but we seen two kayaks in the mud hole next to the CG station. One was being pulled towards the water, the yellow  hobie was just sitting there with no captain. If anyone wants to put in in the bay here the best place is right behind the fish cleaning station accross from the lions club railway park at s 3rd street, NOT where they put a sign saying kayak launch. You have to paddle around the docks but much easier then pulling the mud marathon IMHO.

The mud isn't that bad.  I launch there a lot and if you are heading to the jaws, it is 0.6 miles closer without having to worry about power boaters. That may not be so important on a day like today, but during salmon season in low light conditions it could be.

Thanks for the info Mojo.  I have not launched at Garabaldi yet but likely will this summer.  Is there plenty of public parking near the Lions Club Park?
The two best times to fish is when it’s raining and when it ain’t. -Patrick McManus

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

You want to park behind the fish cleaning station you drop in opposite the fuel docks so no pbs to worry about till your around the bend and they all seem to respect the kayak guys

You can park close enough to the launch that you can stumble down hill into it and ample parking.
