I have a Werner Skagit paddle that has only been out twice; too short for my wife on the wide boat. Carbon shaft with fiberglass reinforced nylon blades. Normally goes for $115 to $130.

This is the single best $80 a guy could to improve his time on the water if he is currently using a cheap paddle.
