Kind of funny how those 48 hour bugs start a full week and a half beforehand ...

I put up a derby registration paypal link on the front page ... top/right.  It would help us out a lot if you would take the time to pre-register.

Also, I'll have waiver forms and official rules at our campsite at Web Country Park, site #29.  You must stop by and check in with me BEFORE 8AM on derby day.  I'll be there (or at the Pelican Brewery!) on Friday evening as well.

Allen,

Maybe it's just me (I'm using ubuntu linux and firefox at the moment), but I'm getting an error on the paypal link.

Hah!  Perhaps I should try things before I make them live.  Should work now.

I suppose I'm #4.

Remember, you gotta sign paperwork with me before 8AM on Saturday morning.  I'll be launching then to show you all how to fish.   >:D  If you show up later, you need to find me on the water.  Your are not officially entered in the derby until you sign the paperwork, even if you pay online.

I update the front page block.  It's $30 if you pay online by Thursday Sept 17, otherwise it's $35 onsite.  If you are Paypal adverse, PM me and we can work it out.  Also the paypal link should let you pay with a credit card if you are are not registered at Paypal.

Thinking of heading over, do you think this will be a good time for my first trip?   ???

Sure, take advantage of the beginner's luck while you can. If the ocean is too rough for your liking you can always opt for fishing the tidewater for a salmon.

If you are confident in your paddling abilities and have the appropriate dress (dress for immersion), and the weather is decent, then sure, why not.  If you want to tag along with me, you're more than welcome.  I won't be launching until 8AM after registration closes.

WOOOHOOOOO! I think I will!  So next question, what type of set up should I bring?  I do have neoprene chest waders, I am assuming that will be ok?The only salt fishing Ive ever done is in So Cal off a boat.  I have inshore stuff all loaded with mono 10-20, 15- 30 etc......  What kinda bait?  I know lots of questions, sorry!  Oh and I don't have my FF installed yet, I guess I better get hot on that.....
