Tillamook Bay May Day: after party & and after math

Want to throw a little friendly tournament together for May 2nd in the Tillamook bay. Spring salmon will be included in this event as well as rock fish ,crabs ,and surf perch if there cooperating. Always open to suggestions and half the proceeds will be going to HOW the other half will go to a potluck after the event during the awards. Also if I can get enough donations I want to do a raffle with all proceeds going to HOW.

Come on folks.we had a dang good time at Mojo Jojo's event last year.everyone that made it out last walked away with prizes.easy launch easy fishing.I'm donating a set of custom jigs.

I'm down for some easy salmon fishing,  but with work,  I won't know if I can make it til 2 or 3 weeks out.

Sign me up.  This sounds like a great time.  I'd be interested in the camping.  Does the campground have full hookups for a travel trailer?  I'll have to do some research for the salmon,perch  and crabbing.  I've never done any salmon fishing in the ocean, bays.  I'm not sure what I need for tackle and bait?

Go look at rawk's wrecking ball vid set up, or the John's River set up on SU. Put the cannonball in contact with the bottom and keep your line at a 45deg with your pole more or less flat out in the rod holder. Also, it shouldn't take 16oz there. Likely somewhere in the 6-10oz range
