Thanks for the replies, anyone that wants to contribute can if they like, I'm going to plan on food after the weigh in and a raffle to benefit HOW , so if someone wants to donate items to raffle for HOW or bring a dish let me know. I'm thinking $25 entry fee and $5 each or 5 for $20 raffle tickets to benefit HOW. Just got to get the prizes going so far a set of Yaktastic custom jigs.

Sounds fun Mojo.  I should be available that weekend.  I have been wanting to learn Tillamook Bay fishing anyway.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

I'm interested but there's nothing in this thread about what the actual format is. I assume if there are prizes then there is some kind of way to win or lose? What are the rules?

I hear ya Redbeard, but hell, nobody loses with retention of 2 fin clipped chinook coming from salt water.  I just hope I can find time to get there.

Still ironing out the details and pounding the pavement for prize donations as well as raffle donations. Most likely 2-3 categories for bragging rights and biggest prizes I can reel in . Plus as per stated by Lee 2 retained salmon  :o as well as helping out HOW. Salmon obviously, black rock fish, crab, maybe serf perch. Also going to be food with the awards ceremony. And for those camping or close enough for Pacific City or Oceanside as well as Netarts on Sunday.

So are you thinking biggest fish of each type, or biggest stringer of those types?

I'm thinking biggest single in each category but I'm open to opinions. From the guys out there.

Old Mill Rv park is giving 10% off anyone that camps for the event. Works out a little more then 10% though , full hook ups are $25 instead of $30. 503-322-0322 if you want to make a reservation. I'm parked in #408 if you want to stay as far away me as possible  :-* . Tent camping last year was three or four guys in a tent stall and could easily split the cost. Launch is right around the corner from office and from the tent stalls could be done by yak cart, but there's plenty of parking at the drop zone. There is a play ground at the park, pets always welcome, and Rockaway beach isn't too far away if the wife wants to go shopping or walk on beach.

I'll try to come down again this year.
Will need to do a little research as far as catches for Kings around that time of year.
Any one have any historical  knowledge of catching Kings ???

I plan on being there as well provided something rather catastrophic is not happening.  As a Big Tuna owner, I can't wait to see a proper handling of one by Mojo.
