The Northwest Paddling Festival www.northwestpaddlingfestival.com is a two day event on May 8th and 9th at Lake Sammamish State Park in Issaquah.  May 8th it opens from 2pm until 6pm and Saturday from 10am - 6pm.

This is a great event to come out and try the latest and greatest in kayaks from a variety of manufacturers.  $7 per day will cover the demo fee.  There will be a few free seminars on Saturday including "Kayak Fishing Basics, Rigging & Fishing Techniques" taught by Brad (ballardbrad) and Todd (YakTrap).  Todd will also be doing a seminar on "Kayak Camping". Visit the website for more detailed information closer to the event.

Thing 2 had a blast at that event a couple years ago.  I will try to attend again this year.  Depending on schedules, hopefully the whole family can come.  If so I might even be able to help you fella's out.
