Kokatat Bahia is a SOLID choice. Currently using the hybrid Kokata SeaO2.   7.5 lbs of flotation that can inflate to 22lbs. Comfortable. Still not sure I like it better than my Bahia but both work great for me.

Thanks everyone for all the feed back on different PFD. Seems like Stohlquist fisherman, Kokatat Bahia and NRS  Chinook are most are using. The Kokata has a lower back support I like. Going to Hood River for a few days. Plan on trying all three at the Kayak Shed. Thanks again !

I have two stohlquist vests that I really like.  I now fish a westmarine inflatable vest set to manual only in most conditions, lousy days and fast rivers I wear the full vest.  95% of the time the freedom of movement and the fact that it is on me not just the boat wins.

9 yro M T I  . Been a great investment. Kept me afloat at least 6 times during Huli's. Wish the store that I bought it from was still in operation because they did a great service for the local area.
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

I only saw a Kokatat Bahia when I was shopping PFD's.  The Kokatat Bahia Tour has all the pockets that the Bahia doesn't have - and that would have made a big difference in my purchase decision.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Hitting the Kayak Shed Wed. to pick up a new PFD. They have all the ones in stock I want to try but one. Kokatat Bahia. Of all the Kokatat dealers in the northwest, coast, Portland, and  Hood River area. Only REI downtown Portland has them in stock. If its such a great vest why don't other dealers carry them? Would like to stay out of downtown Portland.

Next Adventure is getting a shipment of Kokatat PFDs very soon.  Lots of shops stock them, they are just one of those items that sells well.

Bahia tour is great. Good pockets, comfortable back. I dont see a reason to get a high back pfd, unless you are in a sit-inside kayak.
