I just got myself a Subaru Forester and I'm trying to figure out how people have been hauling "TWO" kayaks on their Forester roof racks.  Pictures would do some good.  Thanks!

i've got a smaller vehicle than that (camry), and do two (hobies adventure and revo) with my 50" load bars by having one yak in saddles, and the other yak on its side in j-hooks.

I had 66" yakima bars on my forester AKA man wagon. Could put two upside down with a third right side up resting in the V between the the two inverted boats. I've got pics somewhere. Will post when I find them.

I could't find any pictures with 3 boats loaded, but I did find these if they're any help.

I have 60" bars on my Outback and have hauled three kayaks on it. I always haul just flat on the bars. If you regularly haul two boats 66" bars would be better, unless you are hauling two bathtubs (aka hobie outbacks). If your two boats are wider than 66" you will need a set of J cradles.

The wider them "bars" are, the more likely you will run into them  :'(

This is true, I knew this one guy with a honda civic and 78 inch bars.  He had bright yellow tape on the ends of the bars to avoid hitting them so often, but that was only mildly effective.

My 50" bars carrying two hobies. One on saddles, one on j-hooks.

J cradles are only good to a certain width. My F'nD won't ride in them, and pretty sure the Predator 13 is too big as well. They work great for most boats, but if you're 30" plus read the owners manual, and double check to see it they'll fit.

Be sure and use bow and stern tie downs with the small car. We had a Thule mount fail due to flex of the roof metal on the car. The extra tie downs will keep it stable.

You need to get the kayak racks. It will make it easy side by side ant an angle. I think Yakima makes them. There are also a few other variations, I would try amazon
