Sunday at Lost Lake (Clatsop county)

Anyone interested in taking the kids up for a kayak fishing day in a mountain top lake for trout? Stocking on the 6th will be for "pounders" the week before. We can have two meeting points for the guys coming from pdx and the guys coming from the coast. I also have several kids in my area that would love to go but will need to use someone's boat and I have an extra kids yak I got from capt. Redbeard. Post up interests and we can get into details more.

If didn't conflict with the Kayak Shed bass tournament in Hood River my son and I would be all for it.

Date's not set in stone ( I probably should have checked that first)second Saturday of the month 13? 14 th even Sunday works for me. Better yet post up who's available what dates and we can go with the most chosen date.

I'm interested, but there's stocker lakes a lot closer to home. It would be fun to get all the kids together, though.

The 13th would certainly be better.   Lost Lake seems like a great place to get PDX and Coastal members together.  I haven't been there before and I might scope it out with my son this weekend.

That's kinda what I was thinking get the kids all together it's not that big of a lake and being in the mountains it isn't real hot in the afternoon or windy

I was up there a few weeks ago and there were quite a few logs in the water towards the ramp.  I was able to push them out of the way and I was on a pontoon boat, not my Hobie, so it shouldn't be a problem.  It'd be a pretty cool experience for kids with the big log rafts blowing around the lake.

That's s great spot. Worth the drive for PDX..

I did check Lost Lake out on Saturday with Owen. We got out limits of planters in about 2 hours.  It's a nice small lake and if the fish aren't biting there are plenty of newts and birds to check out.

I'm considering heading up early the night before and camping at Henry Rierson Spruce Run Campground nearby.

That's the date and we're sticking to it so bring the kids for a good day of lake paddling and trout fishing.

Bump, do we got some interests, who is planning on coming? If we have enough interests do we want to have a BBQ or potluck lunch?

Would Sunday the 14th be better for those unfortunate enough to have to work on Saturdays as well as school sports or activities.

Ok lack of response on Sunday so Saturday it is? Anyone else planning on coming?

I would love to but we have plans to head for the coast that weekend for a few days plus I don't have kayak for my son yet and I think he is too big to sit on the rear deck of my outback.  He is only 9 but he is a BIG boy.
