I've been kind of dormant this year. I apologize for that. We really need to get this pumped up. We are swiftly approaching this event and I'd really like to out do last year. I know that the May Day tourney wasn't that long ago but let's have some fun raising more funds for HOW.

Details:
Catch-Photo-Release
Single longest bass by inches
June 6th, 2015
Launch anytime after first light
Check-in by 3:00 PM
Grillin' some grub at 3:00
Awards 4:00

Eligible waters:
Columbia main channel or attached Oregon waters between Bonneville and The Dalles dams.
Taylor Lake is not eligible

Registration: $30 https://www.kayakshed.com/shop/bonneville-bass-bonanza-2-kayak-fishing-tournament

Benefits: Portland Heroes On the Water

Current Registered: 8

Just a sampling of the prizes:
$300 Kayak Shed Gift Certificate
Bomber Gear Paddling Suit
Werner Hooked Paddle
Jackson Kayak JKrate
Ice Mule Catch Cooler

BTW - There is no kayak as the grand prize this year because I screwed up. Sorry.

I'm not going to make it this year :(  I'll be fishing at Wallowa lake that weekend.

Good luck to all that attend.

"Single biggest fish" or "Single biggest bass"?

The answer seems obvious based on the tournament title, but it's always good to have really clear rules.

That would be "longest bass".  Either large or small mouth.

You didn't screw anything up Langston. You never had a shot at that kayak. Another HOW chapter had it locked down for a fundraiser later this year. It's going for a good cause regardless of whether we got it or not, so it's cool.

Captain and Mrs. will be there! Definitely hoping to get higher on the board this year, although we came away with some sweet prizes anyway.

Great prize list so far! I could definitely use any of that stuff.

This would be a stretch but that weekend may stay open.   Would have to drive in to arrive in the morning (blech!).  Sleep's overrated, anyway.

I'm digging through last year's info, are locations the same?  Launches?  Overnight?  etc, etc..

2015 Jackson Big Tuna (tandem) (dark forest)
2016 Hobie Outback LE (screamin' orange)
2014 KC Kayaks K12 (the better half's, in camo)
2015 Jackson Kraken 13.5 (bluefin)

And WTF is this: "Just a sampling of the prizes:"  Why can't you be very specific and have it all layed out.  WE DEMAND TO KNOW!   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Oops! Sorry. I thought this was the ORC bitch-fest thread.  ;D

On a more serious note, this was a fun tournament last year and I wish I could make it this year. Lots of bass out there.

That's a pretty good prize list. I hear those bomber suits are pretty nice. I'll try and make it. My wife is out of town so I may actually bring Tyler with me, which is probably a bad idea, but my she won't be here to tell me :)

Noah- I think I still have a wee little kid life jacket. But you probably don't need it.  When they are that young, they are natural swimmers...I think.
