Thank you Langston, and the whole Kayak Shed crew for putting on the event!  That was a whole lot of fun and the conditions don't get much better in the Gorge.  It was glassy for much of the day and while I didn't land any monsters, the fishing was pretty darn good.

Thanks to everyone that came out to fish at the tournament and at the HOW event. We heard we raised over $600 for HOW! Thanks to John and Kayak Shed and all the wonderful sponsors. The heat was a little much for some during the day to make it to the awards, so the crowd in the pics looks smallish but we had a great level of support with all the other happenings also going on.

Fishing was a little slow, but that's bass fishing for ya. We had a great time and we at HOW and our Veterans appreciate the love and support from The Kayak Shed and the kayak fishing community.

Congrats Jed on the victory.

We are already looking forward to next year!

Thank you, Langston and Kayak Shed, and all the sponsors. It's great to have a smallmouth tourney in the gorge, and you sure picked the right day. It was great to see everyone. Mrs. Redbeard said to say hi, so if I forgot to tell any of you that, HI!

Here are some screen grabs from my gopro.

Thanks Kayak Shed and Langston for putting on another awesome HOW event. I got to meet and fish with a bunch of great people on a perfect day. It even made fishing with Spot bearable. Looking forward to next year.

Thank you so much for my first tournament ever!!  Even though I only caught one little bass 11" and it jumped off my measuring board before I could get a picture, I still had so much fun.  It was also great to meet other NWKA members as well as HOW participants.  Good times all around and I look forward to many more tournaments.  As my dear hubby dannybay said;  "I think I created a monster!- I thought I needed to give you a Valium on Saturday morning!".
He's probably right, now I need a GoPro!!

Nice fish! Congrats again Jed!

Perhaps my problem was that I was targeting "small" mouth bass.  ::)

My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.
