Hey guys Monterey Bay Native here gonna be in Idaho for a little over a week. Staying for the most part in Weiser. I will be fishing Payette lake on the 9th and 10th. Any tips? What to fish for, lures etc? I will be renting a kayak. Gonna stay in Mc Call for two days. Thanks in advance. :banjo:

I have never finished that lake but I have been on it many times with family. When you are there you must visit the north end, there is a large area that is too shallow for bigger boats and it is incredibly beautiful. I have finished cascade reservoir quite a bit and it is just 20 to 30 minutes trip south to Donnelly. Kokanee and perch are my main targets, the perch take all the standard offerings but I have great luck with Kokabow Fishing Tackle (a local company) but it might be a little late for the good bite now.
