AKrod, how are you targeting these? trolling rig or cut bait? New fish for me.

I'd troll something small.  spoons, rapala, spinner, etc. Think fishing for Saltwater Dollies.  Then once you find them, I used small chunks of herring on my salmon hooks.  The ones I caught were 12-18 inches long.

I think I 'll make a Seward run to see if I can get a few (yummy) sable fish, when I was younger we used to catch the juveniles just outside the small boat harbor. Should be a few Reds milling around also. Seward is so much closer than WG and I am still in recovery from the last 3 weeks playing so not feeling a 6 hour drive from the Valley. I am just watching the weather.
I would use small bait for halibut and you'll probably get cod as bi catch. At least you have a chance for halibut that way :)

Also there are tons of reds around. There were a lot right at south beach when I launched the other morning. They're all over the normal spots as well.
