Hi all:  I am relatively new to Kayak fishing as I'm trying to rig up my Innova Sunny inflatable kayak with anchor trolley, rod holders, fish finders, etc.  It's not the best choice but I've had it for a while and want to see how far I can push it.  Anyone else has an IK?

I'm from Seattle, and have done mostly lakes, a few local rivers, and Puget Sound near shore.  Hope to learn much here.

Cheers,

William

Welcome to the forum, lots of good info here.  I use an Advanced Elements DS Convertible IK for fishing also.  Scotty has a glue on mount pad for rod holders, http://tinyurl.com/p9odrxv.  AE has a frame mounting set-up if you want to mount ff, rod holders etc. http://tinyurl.com/khr4f6h  Check them out for ideas on mounting gear without drilling holes :o

I haven't set up an anchor trolley yet, I just clip the anchor line to the paddle holder on the side of the kayak, only in calm lake water, never in moving water.

Advanced Elements has a forum for IK with info posts on how people have rigged for fishing.  Not a real active forum but past posts have some useful ideas.  It's amazing the waters that people paddle IK in around the world.  http://www.advancedelements.com/phpBB2/index.php

Have fun,
Dan

Thanks!  I knew about the Advanced Element frame, was going to try to fashion something similar :-)  The link is super helpful, thanks!
