I was thinking the same thing.

Was watching the first episode again as it was on when I turned on the tube just now.  That whole skit about the shark tangling up the newbies line around the rudder.  What the hell was that all about?   They went into great detail to say how sea kayaks great at staying on course and without the rudder it would be "Dangerous".

The rudder looks like it turns just fine as they are filming the tangled mess.  Stupid!  Just stupid! 

God I wish they would just film it and not try to dick with it.

I called it last week . the guys on the big island were gonna give Capt. Jon Jon a hassle and chase him off . Hawaiians are Territorial and will fight over fishing and surfing spots .
That's why discovery went to Hawaii.  They knew the drama would be there. 

Too many commercials. They should just follow one kayak fisherman per show. I feel like I'm watching a show produced by a kid with ADD or a squirrel. Too many shots changing every 1/2 to 2 seconds.

And where the $*%& are their safety flags?!

And definitely not enough coverage of Kimi Werner.  They could just split her off to her own show.   

She's the best one of the group! Holds her breath for 4 minutes?! It makes me miss spearfishing...

This show is garbage.

I don't have cable but it sounds like "Unearthed" in which one of my neighbors is one of the main characters. Generally regarded as staged and fake with too much drama.

That is exactly what it is

The nice thing about TV is, you can turn it off if you don't like it.

I'm not sure what you guys were looking for in this show...  It has lots of nice scenery and some exciting fish fighting footage.  Stoked!  I didn't expect film-as-lit from the discovery channel.

Was really hoping for more badass fishing with less drama, bad decisions, and dumb ideas.  I really hope all these guys/gal are putting on an act.

There is already enough shows on TV, cable, and dish that have ridiculously fake drama added to them for any unknown reason, as well as poor filming aspects. 

It's like the guy running the editing of the video got himself a new software program with lots of special effects.  He then chose to use ALL of them in one episode.

I was really hoping that a kayak fishing show wouldn't be pulled into this nonsense. 

Honestly, if there isn't a "real" story line to follow with any kind of "reality" type event, don't bother trying to make one.   

I like all the fishing but I don't like the show.😔
