Outdoor GPS Day At the Park benefitting HOW

Hi folks,

We are going to have an info booth at Clackamette Park this Saturday as a small cog in the giant party that is the Comcast Sports NW Outdoor GPS Day at the Park.

There will be live music, sausages from Otto's and vendors like Fisherman's and Pro-Cure. Anyhow, this year they decided to add a fundraiser wrinkle and HOW is going to be the lucky organization to benefit. We are stoked.

This is huge for our local hero's and the Portland chapter of H.O.W.
Anthony great job with H.O.W. and helping make the arrangements with GPS and Owin to make this happen. A lot of viewers will be going to this.

Big thanks to Outdoor GPS for having us out. Also much gratitude to Dennis and Derrick our Veteran volunteers that helped staff the booth. We got there early and got set up so we could help some of sponsors hump their gear in. So it doesn't look like they are doing much in the pic, but this was before the crowds showed up. And show up they did , despite the rain. We connected with a lot of Veterans and people looking to volunteer. Saw a few NWKA folks out there, nice to see you again Ms. Koos! Awesome way to get the word out about HOW. Fun times!

As if I needed any additional incentive to patronize Fisherman's or Otto's. I guess I'll go out and buy me some Procure, and figure out what to do with it later.

My company does matching charity donations every September. Is there a TAX ID for the local HOW chapter ?

All the chapters are under the national tax ID/EIN. Any donation can be earmarked for any specific chapter by making that designation on the memo portion of the check.
