That is very interesting. Last time I was in Homer (about a week ago) I saw about 10 different dead water fowl birds lying on the beach. Called the sea life center and they didn't know what to think. Possibly traveled too far from their food source. Article makes me wonder if psp from the abundant sand lances there played a part. Or maybe that was just Rudy's recent by catch washed up on shore. Hehe
