I'm heading down tonight after work. I'll be staying a Miller's landing (camp rose spot), I'm pretty sure every where is booked now when it comes to sites. As of right now I'll be fishing solo Friday, with the woman Saturday,  and solo again on Sunday.  There's an awesome public beach with a free launch about 1/2 south of Miller's Landing that puts you right in the fish and is about a 3 mile paddle to Caines Head and there is also a decent halibut spot a 1/4 mile out to the east and another one about 1 1/2 mile south.

If anyone is going and wants to hook up let me know. I'll have the gold Tahoe with an orange Propel & orange Scupper Pro.

I wish I could go this weekend. I have an all day engagement Saturday. I will be there from the 14th to the 16th. Have fun!

Well, shoot! I was planning on doing that tomorrow but now I have to be in anchorage by 5pm to pick up a friend at the airport. Is the traffic usually bad in anchorage around 430? I would imagine that it is...

I think that I will shoot to launch at 6am and be done by 1 or 2. I might be solo, but I might be with the lady if she can get tomorrow off.

I have a paddle kayak, so I am not sure how it will be as far as me keeping up.... It's a black Jackson Big Tuna.

I will post again tonight with my plan!

Miller's is dropping be off at Caines Head tomorrow and picking me up on Sunday. I was going to paddle out there but I'm lazy and want to save my energy for Saturday. There's room on the boat for another kayak.

Going for WG and maybe head to seward on Sunday.  I shouldn't be fishing right now...haven't done any house chores and starting to see dust bunnies popping up everywhere.

Yeah you should go to Seward. If you get lucky and catch a prize fish you could use the money for someone to clean your house ;D

I'll look for you guys tomorrow AM if you are out early.

A friend needed help adding bilge pumps to his Mokais tonight, so may take a walk on the dark side tomorrow (Friday) and Mokai out if they are running well.    Unfortunately I will have the Friday AM tides only, as I need to be back to ANC by the afternoon, and then in Kenai by Sunday afternoon... but then back toANC Wed. and to Seward again by Thursday night for a 3-day fishing weekend.

Gonna put a few miles on the truck this week.  I need less hours driving and more fishing - I got it all backward for the next 6 days!

Looks like you got a derby winner there...minus 10lbs.  I'll be fishing in Seward next Saturday for fun...catch and release.

Haha thanks a lot, had to work for it. I had waves crashing over my kayak for 4 hours straight and anytime I hooked a dam pink I was sideways to 2 ft whitecaps. Good thing I was 100 yards from shore the whole time.

I have drill this weekend and a moose locking tag to fill the following weekend so it looks like my season is coming to a close.
